... Bob and Sini. Bob is a retired firefighter like me so lots of common ground there. We walked around Mont St Michele together and discussed our travel plans. Bob expressed that he quite fancied going to Morocco but wasn't sure if he and Ceedie were going to go alone. I felt the same so we discussed travelling to Morocco together, safety in numbers and all that. When I left I met some more motorcycle travellers, a couple ...

... and busy - had taken its toll. Our trip to Carcassone was about 800km so we decide to break it up and drive half way thay afternoon. What a beautiful, peaceful and calming drive and the spot we found to over night was just perfect. Treignic was small and quaint and surrounded by beautiful countryside. We did some exploring before enjoying a delicious meal at our hotel, where no one could speak ...

A much better day today. We covered 219km without incident. The roads have been much nicer, if a little hilly, the weather better, apart from a pesky headwind, and the bike has been going well. The roads today have been the kind that remind me why I love cycling, particularly the first and last parts. Throughout the day we have been crossing countless deep, often wooded valleys - I don't suppose we have done more than 20k of level ...

Stunningly beautiful weather so jumped on Henry and headed north west.
More excellent roads, more lovely villages and a dozen snobby BMW riders.

I made it to Riom es Montagnes and then had to decide left or right. Left was flatish but Right took me back up to Puy Mary - albeit on a different road - and the sun was shining - and it was twisty...
