Two great weeks with our friends

For dinner we walked back to our hostel and made kraft dinner in the shared kitchen. It was great! After that we all fell into bed - unfortunately our hostel had no a/c and we baked all night long!
All and all we've been very impressed with the downtown Calgary area - lots in walking distance - a truly great area!

Big City Canada: Calgary!
... was a site called "Head Smashed in Buffalo Jump". What the ? Turns out this is a historical site where the natives of years past would force the buffalo towards a cliff. They would then have no choice but to jump, rendering dinner and hides at the bottom. But "Head Smashed"? These crazy Canadians have a way with their words, and their long O's.

Exploring downtown
... It took Andrew a while to get used to the handing of an automatic and the different road signs but we decided to then head to Calgary zoo.
The Zoo was very big and reminded us a bit of Chester Zoo it was very big and Will laid out with plenty to see. Our favorite bit was the Canadian area where there were all the native animals to this area. We saw our first grizzly but fortunately ...
