... able to find them pretty well using - the only problem was in the forest, my ipod couldn't pick up a GPS satellite, so I had to keep guessing where I actually was - well, that was fun, because Yves' good advice was when you're ready to come home, head downhill and you'll end up back at Wittenbach, so I wasn't worried - nothing like a walk in the forest where you're NOT afraid of getting lost and NEVER getting out!

... just two phrases - Grütze is an informal greeting that everyone uses in the street - even young children would greet me, so polite and hospitable! and danke or danke schön for thank you. It's because of the view, stupid! The view down from the hill near Walensee was absolutely stunning. And going up cost a lot of calories too, ...

... asked :) :)

We didn't make to Chur on the first day, because of the early getup *cough* so we had to shop for food somewhere in Domat/Ems and find a spot to spend the night in about 20 mins. As it went dark we were far from the forest and just hungry and tired.
So we decided to find a spot at the end of a "Schiessanlage". The best Spot was behind the concrete Wall of a target range. We just hoped ...
