... About a 15 minute walk from where we parked, really nice bush walk, so many bluebells! It reminded me so much of where we used to live in Holland. On the way we collected Pooh sticks and when we got to the bridge we stood there throwing them in the river. Sarah went in a little adventure trying to move big tree branches that had already fallen in the water to keep the water flowing, she didn't fall in but we would have had a laugh if she did!!! ... the hunger pains. And even the wild weather provides its own spectacle all along the beach front.

A drive along the coast to the east of Eastbourne provided some spectacular views of wind swept hills and crumbling chalk cliffs at Birling Gap. It seems that more of the cliffs have been claimed by the sea since the last time we were here.

Tomorrow we're heading across to Portsmouth, home to the British navy.

... river boat, and was very nice going under all the bridges. The high-light was probably going through a Lock which was fun. There was a helicopter hovering and going around a particular place for along time, and I told Esther it was the one that had dropped off Prince William for the royal birth and was then guarding the area, she told me to stop making up stories! Once in London we jumped off the boat beside Big Ben, Westminster Abby etc and we wandered around ...

... in very nicely in their school. I'm not going to lie—the times you have no phone or internet are the worst when you live in a foreign land. Cutting off all communication with your family & friends was the toughest part of the whole ordeal. Once that it is in play- what is there to worry about?
