... and the overgrown pavement put us off and we turned back to have a cup of tea at the hotel. Each time we've been in our room today we've heard a cockerel crowing. Thankfully he didn't start early in the morning. Or if he did we were so deeply asleep we didn't hear him.
All we've got to do now is pack our box and bags and get ready for an early start to Shoreham and then home before it rains tomorrow. Perhaps we shouldn't have listened to the weather ...

Sunday we again attended Quaker meeting. There were 21 people today. We meet in 2 concentric circles. After our power naps to try to reset the body clocks we headed out to explore the Brighton Beach and Pier. Water was cold and Janet was the only fool to wade in. ... down to the sea front and along that lovely road to our hotel, a Holiday Inn.

It had turned into a lovely day and there were lots of people out. We stopped along the way to take some photos. We arrived at the hotel at the same time as Matt. I checked in then he went to park the car and came up to the room to meet us shortly afterwards.
