... drove to Brighton to see its beach and walk along its famous Pier. Brighton Beach is very different to ours back home with large pebbles and no sand. Even though it was a nice sunny day the wind made it rather cool however, it did not stop some mad Englishmen from going swimming in the freezing ocean. We also had to have a chuckle at the men sitting in the sun with their shirts unbuttoned, soaking in the warm 16 degree weather, complete with socks and sandals! Sadly ...

... harbour was soon in sight and having had an orange at 1200 I entered the lock at 1245 for the 1300 closing. Wednesday we decided to try a walk on a public footpath. We got a map and directions for the Scotney Castle loop from a pub in Lamberhurst. You start at the parking lot of the Vineyard pub and follow signs, stiles, fence lines, ...

... in careers. Retails great and especially because I know Quicksilver and Roxy so well, things couldn't have gone anymore perfect.
It's been two weeks since I started and my work colleagues and bosses and so lovely and although minimum wage is so low over here, it's better than nothing and if I enjoy the job, I've got nothing to complain about.
