    ... I think it was better because we were in deeper water and there was a lot more coral. I did originally want to scuba dive before I came but after doing the snorkelling I think it was just as good and a lot cheaper! Will have to get some photos off people who have an underwater camera.     ... beach for a crack at the jet skis. For the first time this entire holiday, the jet ski people had packed up early, causing Dad to be very annoyed, and leaving us with little choice but to head back to the room. A couple of hours later we had dinner at Prego's, where I had a vegetarian ravioli of some description, before we headed back to the hotel room and went to bed with a big day to look forward to tomorrow.

It really was hell on earth, how anyone can live in such confusion ....the traffic and pollution and so overcrowded but they do and perhaps they couldn't imagine any other way.     ... amused that, among the usual prohibition decals (no smoking, no drinnking etc) on the cab window, there were two that were unusual - no pets (hmmmm, ok) and no sex (what?!). The fact that someone had to go to the trouble of designing and printing the sign suggests that there is a lot of it going on...euuuuw. I tried not to think about what I was sitting on or in the seats in the taxi.

    It's Charles. The trip to Koh Phanghan was pretty easy. A minibus picked us up at our hotel and brought us to the pier. We then took a ferry to the next island. It took us about 2.5 hours. The pier on Koh Samui is very close to the airport so we were able to see a few planes really low in the sky as they were arriving or departing. That was pretty cool.
