Waya Lailai Island (Waya Lailai Eco-haven Resort)

The tour was designed so that the accomodation/resorts got better along the way. The food at Waya Lailai was great and the setting was beautiful, despite the weather. In Robs mind, it looked like the island described in the book 'Lord of the Flies'. We are still in debate as to which one of us is 'Jack' and which one ...

... drinker, grog also numbs the tongue and so it is now a norm that these grog sessions have a "chaser" or sweet or spicy snack to follow a bilo (source: wikipedia). We met a few other people there from Germany, UK, Canado). After a few hours of chitchat with the locals and a few drinks of kava we went to sleep. Unfortunately, we both hardly slept that night. I guess kava did not work for us or we did not have enough :(

... in Darwin where i am staying with a girl i met on the Coast and then i will head off on the 31st for my Darwin / Alice Springs trip and arrive in Perth on the 9th August. Here i hope to have a job where i put make up on rich people and try and sell it to them - sounds fun!!

Quite a long one this time but will send you another when i have finished my Alice Springs trip!

It is Tuesday evening and we just got back to the mainland today. We spent the last 5 days on the small island of Waya in the Yasawa island group at the Octopus Resort. Hello everyone, So I board the plane in NZ whether the weather was slowly getting colder and after a few hours get off in Fiji where obviously there was a noticeable temperature difference!The airport is quite small and after customs I was welcomed by a Fijian who gave me a necklace to welcome me to their country. ... pay the admission. Brandt saw that there was a student rate, and eluded to the ticket counter person that we were students but didn't have our ID cards with us. She bought it, and gave us the student rate. Cathy felt bad about it thinking that we just lied in a church.
