... would be a lovely place to visit in the summer when the parks are green and it's busy ... Not earily silent and covered in snow. ... lake where we spent some time relaxing and even taking a dip in the rather cold lake.

To top off another good day we brought Heinz beans and bread for toast and cooked up beans on toast which after all the eating out we’d been doing tasted fantastic. Simple, but fantastic. We only just got to make it though as the kitchen should have closed at 10pm but the friendly staff here let us stay late to cook , eat and clean up (J).

... is a fun mountain with a really cool village, id say better than Big White. It is set out a lot better and has a real European village feel to it. There are pockets of accom out on their own runs where some of them make it easier to ski down to the car park and village rather than walk/drive. The facilities are also quite good with a market, bakery and several pubs.

The sun is shining, the mountains are looming and we are well rested and ready for the home stretch as we set out this morning! Entering the park we see evidence of a forest fire burning in the area, smoke, a helicopter with a bucket flying overhead and then a sign warning of a fire burning! The clouds are low and the temperature is cool! Road construction crews are busy maintaining and repairing the highway so progress is slow for a time. Climbing through the mountain passes at ...
