... urspruenglich aus montreal, hat sich jedoch der pflege von denkmalgeschuetzten haeusern verschrieben und ist seit 2003 in revelstoke zuhause. das zimmer war ziemlich plueschig :-) halt im traditionell englischen stil gehalten. da ich der einzige gast war, musste ich mein gutes englisch hervorkramen, um bei den diskussionen mithalten zu koennen. ich habe einiges ueber die geschichte von quebec gelernt und kann nun vielleicht auch ein bisschen besser ...

... autodach in downtown kelowna erspaeht - keine ahnung, woher der fahrer kam.. von gaesten habe ich vorgestern ausserdem mitbekommen, dass der coquahalla-pass (zwischen kelowna und vancouver) bereits schneebedeckt ist - eine erneute reise mit dem greyhound nach vancouver werde ich wohl somit nicht mehr in angriff nehmen..

... offen. wir sind im gebiet des myra-bellevue provincial park und 4,5km ob**halb mein** behausung stehen die sogenannten myra-canyon trestles (auf deutsch: eisenbahnbrücken). diese bildeten auf dem trans-canada-trail einen abschnitt durch british columbia, welch** kettle valley rail trail genannt wird. fu** int**essi**te gibts mehr infos unt**: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kettle_Val ley_Railway (nur in englisch).

From Kaslo we went to the Halcyon Hot Springs which is really beautiful but very commercial. Then we headed west to the Okanagon Valley, the banana belt for BC. It's got some great wines too.

We stopped on the way at Fauquier and played golf at yet another beautiful course.

... i could see pouring from a smoke stack. My greyhound bus didnt leave until late on the friday afternoon so I stowed my luggage and sat and read in the river park all day. The bus ride to Kelowna only took 2.5hrs and it was 8pm when i got in, still light though. ... can't ski like myself it is still very difficult. Still crashing a lot because i'm trying to get my left turn carving going. Just can't do it ! But it will come in time...i hope. Just had 4 days training this week in my high paying job as lifty. So much responsibility in this job. I have lives of people in my hands. Don't know when i start work, but looks like not for a week at least. In other news, not much, same old same old. Hope things are well back home. Benny
