The sanctuary is in nearby Sepilok, we walked in the boiling heat to the bus station and was directed on again to another bus station where we got a **** heap of a local bus with only partially opened windows to cool us down. So from next year the observations and data collation will be more generalised - recording groups of species but not specific species counts and then any strange behaviours. Elephant migration patterns will always be recorded.
