... Murray to write his own journal about his few days in Alexandria without me – including the night he spent as a guest at Romani’s house – but I’m not holding my breath about receiving a journal entry from him. Hah.]
We still ended up waiting around for a while – the ferry did not depart until sometime after 6pm, and we didn’t arrive to Jordan until after 8pm. The two+ hours in between are a bit of a blur ...
... temples for headaches; and frankincense (fresh, clean scent) for calming and sleep. It was a very interesting experience to learn more about pure, natural essential oils, undiluted by alcohol or manufactured scents! I learned a lot, and even bought some peppermint oil for my sinuses.
As we left Al Fayed Palace for lunch across the street, we were hounded – literally badgered to near death (joke) – by papyrus-selling kids ...

Well that's it really for the Egypt blog, we travel tomorrow back home
starting from here at 10am and getting home around 10pm. We are both
sad to leave but looking forward to seeing the kids again and everyone
else. I hope it won't be too long before we return.
... me what my name was, I said "Why?" and he said "why..... my name is Ismael, hahah he thought my name was why. Anyway, I gave him alot of attitude and cut eye, so he moved on to the poor timid chinese woman we were travelling with :( This guy was a chromosone short of caveman! He just didn't get the point! We caught a taxi to Dahab that took 7 hours!!! He had told us it would take 3!!! But we still paid him the same and he was happy! We finally arrived in Dahab, Happy but exhausted!
Hurghada, Red Sea and Sinai, Egypt giselleandcodyOur 20th wedding anniversary today which started with some shopping
and then the hotel offered us a free meal tonight mainly because of
the problems at dinner last night but also because of our anniversary.
Rest of the day is quiet with a relax by the pool this afternoon
because it is has been really hot today and it helped us cool off.
Dinner tonight was excellent in the hotels al la carte restaurant
which was all the better because it was free!
Meryl's Birthday and we spent the day on the dive clubs boat going out
to Dolphin Point to do snorkelling. It was pretty good to see the fish
again like yesterday plus we got to see a few dolphins as well.
Got back to the hotel around 5pm and guess what? Another cake has
arrived! Woo hoo!
Going for dinner tonight on the side of the marina with a show as well.
Wow and wow again, that diving lark was spectacular. I saw all sorts
of tropical fish including scorpian and lion, rays and moray eels, BIG
moray eels. Plus I got to swim with Nemo, a couple of clown fish came
up and said 'hi' it was truly amazing.
Had a Dutch instructor called Zietza who was just as crazy as his name
suggests but he was good ...
... particularly amused to get woken up for this but then we found out the roadside restaurant/cafe where we had stopped couldn’t cook food (not sure why, something about the kitchen not working). So we got back on the bus and drove about 20 minutes up the road to another roadside restaurant. Most of us ordered burger and fries. Not the best burger I’ve eaten and I still was not amused about being woken up to eat ****** food.
Needless to say, once we were back on the ...
