It's been 13 days since we saw Mt. Fuji but it already feels forever ago. We are out on the farm and the time passes slowly but also unnoticed and the tranquility and peace of this valley surrounded by the Japanese Alps are unparalleled. But before I can begin an account of what has transpired since our arrival in the mountains of Nagano I suppose some of you might like to be caught up on previous adventures.

Sorry for the lack of updates recently!! We did not have any internet access in the mountains.

We bought some juice, milk, and buns to eat for our last breakfast in Tokyo while packing on Saturday morning for Hakone and the hot springs. ... leg of the journey though was by private rail and I had to pay for that. Only $10 so didn't break the bank.
Then, as I said, as soon as I had arrived and dropped my bags at the backpacker place, I set out to get some pictures. Walked a little way around Lake Kawaguchi-ko to get some clear shots and then up the hill over looking the lake and the town of the same name. Great viewing. And ...
