... few more friends from the ISUK forums and facebook, we spent some time taking photos in the pits before heading out to the race track.
Ice speedway is speedway bikes racing on a track of ice. The bikes wheels are fitted with huge spikes, to give the bikes grip as they speed round the track. Each race has four riders, they do four laps, there are four races in each block and 42 races all together.
The track is outside and spectators can stand around ...

We didn't show you too much of the wooden churches we saw in Slovakia. They were beautiful though, quite different from the ones in Romania, therefore different in another way.
And guess what: at the other side of the border, here inn Poland, perhaps 100 kilometers away, they have them too! And also here, they cherish them, restore them, get them UNESCO protected, create tourist routes past them. And also here, we visit ...

... I can check while sitting here in Sanok where from I'm writing these words. I think I'll announce myself as an english/spanish tutor as well as do some internet digging to find any good seasonal work for spring/summer. Oh, and I would almost forget to mention it - IT'S SNOWING!!! F***k yeah!!!
