... few more friends from the ISUK forums and facebook, we spent some time taking photos in the pits before heading out to the race track.
Ice speedway is speedway bikes racing on a track of ice. The bikes wheels are fitted with huge spikes, to give the bikes grip as they speed round the track. Each race has four riders, they do four laps, there are four races in each block and 42 races all together.
The track is outside and spectators can stand around ...

Another happy come back to Poland, another route towards north and east.

Just as planned - I started hitch-hiking from Zafra in direction of Madrid. It went well, but not fast enough. As soon as I reached the capitol I was forced to leave the road and enter the city.
