    ... tough as I had to navigate 3 buses and an entire weekend in only spanish but it was a good test. This week was all new people, I am now the longest standing student and have a pretty good relationship with all the teachers. I was a little disappointed in myself in regards to last weeks spanish progression but I think I know most basics now and the technical grammar is just very tedious.     ... Megs and I had a comp to see who could attract the most...I won that battle although that is probably saying the my feet were in a nastier shape than hers...no good.


    That evening there was a communal BBQ at the hostel which we got stuck in to. It was a good hostel for getting to know others and partying. We had an early shuttle the following morning so decided not to go very hard. After dinner we were off to bed.

They had told us that we need to take the bus to Panajachel (yep the one that just left) and then grab the boat to San Marco. So our current position was: 2 x tickets now defaulted and we would need to rebook and repay - *insert explicit language here*.

    ... number of times on the way up 'climbing/hiking is not my thing.'. So we began climbing up a path of partially carved out rocks, slippery dirt and moss.
