Feel like I am 10yrs old again. Arrived (off the back of a truck) way up in the mountains out the back of Antigua, city of Guatemala, at this Eco lodge. Up here purely for more relaxing and nothing else. The only accomodation they had left for me turned out to be the best type there.... a treehouse. Yep, I was in heaven again and 10yrs old!! …

Hippy erm.. heaven?
... Everyone wears bright flowing gowns, talks about their spiritual jouneys, or has dreadlocks and a flute. We wander around feeling slightly uneasy about the hippy commune, neither we, nor the indigeous population seem to feel part of, but manage to find a friendly barman who likes Brummies and we watch 2 French guys playing guitar and sax.

The 3 day hike begins...
... that was the case or the night beforegot the beter of them. So with 2 guides 5 americans and me we set out. The first hike was back across the city pretty much straight past my house whic was a tad annoying as i could have got an extra 30 mins kip in! We then hopped on a chicken bus for a short ride to the base of the mountains where we would begin the real hiking.
