We grabbed lunch at a little comadore on the way back to El Retiro and my bbq pork was nom nom (Hinesh’s bbq chicken paled in comparison). We then chilled in the hammocks again before I was convinced to go on another hike (that’s two in two weeks….)

I was more than happy to head to the pools with an American couple and Maria a girl from Guate city.
We hung out in the refreshing waters for the morning before regrouping to hike up to the mirador to take in this incredible natural wonder.
It was a sweaty uphill climb but it was worth the beautiful vista.
Aferwards we headed back to the pools ...

Just some background on our place of residence in Flores. We stayed on a hill that made us feel like Steve Tshwete. The owner was the most helpful person ever and made our stay the best it possibly could be. We visited an animal rescue centre that felt like a lost world, and had another completely Spanish tour where we saw amazing animals. And last but not least, we felt heat like no other - it was unbearable. ...
