Mike relieved to find me safely with the bus but heartbroken that the ice cold Diet Coke he had managed to procure for me from the cafe I couldn't find had succumbed to the 36 degree heat. ... out to be an English band, and a good one at that, so we enjoyed them.
The bar served good drinks and McDonald's food disguised as their own menu items (seriously).
We drank probably a bit too much considering we leave for Beijing at 7:15 tomorrow, but oh well.
Looking forward to tomorrow. but I will miss all my Chinese friends!

Two more teaching days!
Today was our day where the teachers had to take what they've learned and apply it to their classrooms.
We modelled a literacy lesson in the morning, and they had the whole afternoon to develop their own lesson using our strategies and their textbook.
It went really well.
After school, we had an early dinner as we had to prepare for our gala celebration in the evening.

After the gardens, we grabbed a couple of ping da Tsing Taos and started our walk down Ping Jiang Street. The only thing I knew about this street was that it was one of the main drags to see in town, and we were told to look for boat tours here, this being The Venice of the East and all.
