We get up around 8.00am in the morning in Kunming to begin our journey to Dali. There should be a number 63 bus that goes from right outside the hostel to the train station, which is near the long distance bus station. We wait for about forty minutes for a bus, and one never shows so we decide to jump in a taxi.
