What a jam packed day! This morning we took a 20 minute drive to the village of Xizhou. We watched our breakfast being made which looked a lot like pizza dough with ingredients mixed in. This was then placed in a large pan and covered by a lid with coals on it. I opted for the bean and brown sugar one. It was really tasty but super sweet. I tried to order a lotus juice as I had never tried it before. It almost seemed like I was back in Rankin ordering at a restaurant as ...

We went to a few different spots to capture the different aspects of the various terraces, all beautiful and set over so vast an area it’s very hard to comprehend. We also visited some of the local villages, of which some were pretty and rustic and others were downright repulsive, but it was interesting to see ...

... on the way. We arrived in Dali new city (Xiaguan) at around 1pm and unfortunately I had to go to the toilet….bad move. All my senses felt as though they were obliterated upon walking in the public toilets….not to mention the fact that there were no doors or cubicles but rather just a long drain with some people squatting over it.

Upon leaving the bus station I was met by many people trying to get me to use their mini bus or taxi to get to ...
