The evening before we tried to anchor in a river a few miles west of San Vicente but it ended up being too shallow so we come back to San Vicente and anchored more or less where we were the previous nights.

Buenas!

Today was such a bittersweet day! After class, where we watched Nueve Reinas, we grabbed some coffee and headed to the "end of the semester" ceremony. There, a few of our friends played songs (such as Country Roads) and we were given our diplomas.

It is so sad leaving here! I finally got into the groove of waking up ten minutes before breakfast, rushing to get dressed, eating crescent rolls, going to class for 4 hours, eating lunch, napping, ...

... battle with cancer in the past couple weeks. He dedicated a song to him, and I almost cried when he played it. He then played a Newfoundland regional song about traveling and making friends and then returning home. It was awesome because before the ceremony he taught all of us how to sing along, so it was lively and a lot of fun. ... life. We love Spain, but sometimes the thought of home is tempting. After coming back to the dorm, it seemed like today would end as an average day, but never does that happen in Spain I suppose! It is Santander's festival week, and as I was in my room, we heard fireworks! It was truly spectacular. I am really going to miss this place when we leave Saturday! It is as if every day is a new opportunity ...
