We had a feast at the kindness and generosity of this family and were very ...

... behind the little girl who was moving really quickly and we watched her head down one of the dark and nearly deserted narrow side streets of the old town. A short time after, she came back to the main street and I tried to ask her if she needed help, but she just kept running. We didn't know what to do since it was unlikely she spoke English and we had no idea which language she spoke. We went into a museum on another side of a street ...

... the exact same view in the present day, with residents still at the same cafes still reading Il Piccolo. The whole thing is very moving, all the residents in the photos about to be plunged into a madness of someone else's making. Rather more prosaically, buy myself a pair of shoes in the sale. Lunch of fresh pasta with basil pesto in little back street Cafe des ...
