Tonight we are dining in the Chops Grille for my birthday. They claim the best steak on the high seas. We have much more motion on this crossing than we did last year in the Pacific. They have drained and closed the pools until we get to some calmer waters. They have also made some subtle changes in the entertainment because of the increased motion.

So, we hope all are well and we will get back to you when better conditions permit. ...

This morning we visited a Goat cheese & bee farm in the Maritime Alps . Evo & his family were kind enough to show us around their farm. Great experience of a very passionate farmer who is keen to re establish the old way of farming using traditional, organic methods. A lovely visit ...

Wide streets, large piazzas (Turin boast the largest square in Europe) yet with small alleys bursting with shops & cafes. The gelato here seems not to be displayed in cabinets but in deep containers so you cannot choose with the eyes but select from a list. I may be a little ...

... him. Given that I was a sweaty, unshaved tourist with little to no grasp of the Italian language, it was only fair that he seemed to instantly dislike me.

Our room was an oasis, The air conditioning was like heaven and lying down on a proper mattress was divine. However, 10 minutes later I leave that paradise and go to collect our passports at reception. I wait another 10 minutes in the lobby while the Italian insists he is too busy to give ...
