... Falls. We got to the trail, but chose not to do the hike. Again today, the storms were moving in. I didn't want to get caught up on a dirt road that was getting washed out. So we headed back down the mountain and back to Gunnison. The timing was almost perfect. We just got down to the paved road before the heavy rains came.

We arrived in Aspen at about 11am. We visited the John Denver Sanctuary. As a kid, ...

... slope for almost 5 miles. Once we got to the valley floor, we headed to the Gunnison Diversion Dam. That is there start of the white water stream that flows through the valley floor.

On the way back to the coach, we ran into significant rain. Apparently there was some hail as well but we didn't experience any of that.

... at about 3:00pm. Normally we can set the coach up within a half hour but we experienced a few problems at this campground. First, the septic location was about thirty feet from the coach. Our septic hose is only 25 feet. So off to Walmart we went. All the RV stores are closed on Saturday and Sunday. For $18, we had an extra 10 feet - problem solved. Next problem - no water. After further investigation, we found the water spigot was full of worms - yes ...
