A gentle 22kms with a couple of long hills and one rather steep climb. Rias Baixas (Bajas in Castilian) is not smoother country than the northern rias. The beaches are calmer, warmer and easier accessible and so beach tourism flourishes here, making it less nature and more resort. Never a moment alone, not even in the shoulder season.

We set off from Padron with intentions to do 2 legs into Santiago. This would have made a leisurely finally, BUt..... We over walked our accomodation by about an hour and with only 8 km into Santiago we collectively decided we would not walk back. The walk albeit hot was pretty, through rural villages with their vegetable plots opening up to fields and views of the mountain ranges.
