    ... lunch so we just headed straight back to the ferry terminal. There were now more vechicles waiting but still no ferry so we got the van ready for boarding an tried to relax. We ended up being one of the last groups of vehicles to board which was very frustrating. Getting to the port early did not help in this situation.

    After two months in Spain our trip is nearly over. Last stop is the coastal town of Suances just west of Santander.

    With a couple of nice beaches, a picturesque medieval old village, and a prehistoric cave painting site close by we have plenty to keep us busy. But first its the beach.

    ... this morning as we were one of the first let off from the ship. Away we drove, laughing for hours at the 'lack of traffic' Numerous toilet stops and hours of French radio later we grabbed a quick baguette each from a new favourite 'Paul' and continued our journey having to take two detours due to traffic...we'd all stopped laughing by this time and slept away hour and hours of driving.     We departed our home base in the Medieval town of Santillana del Mar for the Altamira cave and the nearby coastline of this area of Spain called Cantabria.
