So sadly, we had our last breakfast on the balcony of our villa and watched the sun come up! The sun rises around 7.40am on the island. We closed all the shutters and locked up the house. The boys were waiting outside for us. We loaded the cases into the little Fiat and headed off to the ferry. When we arrived there was a huge line up of cars , I was wondering how they would all fit on, until I saw three really big buses and a truck come off. Andy was finding it very hard to ...

We met Sue and Michael and Marco at Avra for a lovely Greek meal. Marky had roast octopus and I had moussaka it was nearly as good as mums!!!! We waddled up the cobbled path and hit the sack. Early morning pick up tomorrow with the boys to catch the ...

Another glorious day in Kioni. After breakfast we headed to the Greek Orthodox Church for the 9am service. Marky wanted to see what it was like. There's lots of incense being fluffed around by the priest, with little bells tinkling! Lots of standing up, then sitting down- then up again. The Greeks don't do anything by halves. They genuflect 5 times during each prayer!! We were getting RSI because we just copied everyone else!! ...

... Immortality comes in second place to that. That puts things into perspective. Sometimes life is a long slog that you have to muscle through, sometimes it is exciting, sometimes it is painfully sad, sometimes it is rewarding, hopefully it is interesting. You may encounter metaphorical monsters, you may have to use all your cleverness to figure your way through and I bet you may often find yourself between Scylla and Charybdis (a rock and a hard place). You may ...

... guts and offcuts of fish to be thrown overboard. They were so wonderful that we ended up staying at least an hour looking at them and photographing them. We finished the visit by having a plate of chips and a drink at a nice modern open fronted bar, opposite the ferry boarding area. Great people watching area. Worth a visit, but didn't hang around to walk ...
