    ... still surrounded by 9km of ancient walls. The Castello Estense in the centre of town is surrounded by a moat and is complete with drawbridges. The streets are quite cobblestones making riding the old noisy bikes pretty teeth chattering, but the kids loved it and it is such a good way to get around.
