    ... hanging on TIGHTLY. After jumping off at the top (once again, you literally jump out of the cage) I photographed Kent in his little cage. There was a group of small children in the basilica and it turned out they were there to rehearse for the bambino ceri race. We watched as they practiced lifting the ceri and then they had a rehearsal of the race around the courtyard.     A long day of travelling today to get from Venice to Gubbio in Umbria. From Venice we caught a train to Bologna where we jumped almost immediately on another train heading to Ancona. At Ancona there was a quick stop for lunch before we caught another train. The final leg was by bus to Gubbio. We left Venice at 7:42am and arrived at our hotel in Gubbio at 3:30pm.     ... went down and we were left lying in the shade we made our way up the massive hill to the car to head home to the hotel. The drive back was spectacular, looking back over the cliff-side town of Sirolo and the Adriatic Sea. Unfortunately there was nowhere to stop and take a photo, as they would have been great.

    ... to have another ride along the Strada Panoramica Adriatica through Gabicce Mare hoping to see some of the great views. What a difference a day makes! No fog today. We rode passed a fort that we didn't even see yesterday.

    On the way back to Pesaro we stopped at a supermarket to stock up on goodies for dinner. We are now sitting on our hotel balcony eating olives, cheese and pringle chips as we sip on a glass of Rose. Life is good!
