... drive from Katie and Sam's to Natasha.

Now we should be going into Montana after Seattle. Where we will be staying isn't quite clear yet. It will either be with Teal (if she lets us) or there's the possibility of staying at yellowstone national park.

On December 2nd we start heading to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore and all that jazz! Next stop will be Minneapolis where Sarah McCollar has offered us a place to stay! Then we slowly start heading south to Chicago, Il ...
Lake Elsinore, Ca, California, United States sunny-girl... of stores. We went into Sur la Table because I wanted to see if they had the copper pots like the one I had just gotten in Paris. They did, in fact, one of the ladies that worked there gave me a fun lesson about what some of the more unusual pieces were for (like a potato steamer and clam steamer). It was pretty cool. After that, we put the top down on my car (it was about 77 degree F as opposed to the ...
Corona del Mar, California, United States kitkatgo... since she was born. So with that said "we" headed down to the beach. They decided not to take us to the normal beach that we go to in San Clemente, which is T Street, but instead this time they took us to Riviera Beach. This was a great little spot with not a ton of tourist traffic. As Shelley said it is the place where the locals go, but unfortunately you run into a bunch of ...
San Clemente, California, United States kare1322... the border was quick and simple and the next bus left quite promptly. However, this journey was slowed by the first few miles being covered at an average speed of 2 miles per hour. We eventually got to Santa Ana mid afternoon and after a hard slog with the bags in the fierce sun we found Casa Frolaz. What a gorgeous place, a lovely house with a cool garden and very generous owner, Javier. We had ...
Santa Ana, El Salvador mariejeanwilson... Kathy and Ron. I ate way too much, having a really killer Steak and Lobster dinner and a half dozen oysters with all the fixings. Enough about eating, I can feel the thirty pounds I lost prepatory to this trip returning right back on my butt. When I lived in LA 20 years ago I never liked too many things about the place ...
La Palma, California, United States fatoldbikerThe last hurdle in making this trip a reality for me was overcome today. I secured my visa to Japan! Being a Filipino citizen, I have to jump through a few extra hoops when traveling abroad to most countries compared to a U.S. citizen. This mostly involves bribes and sexual favors but I believe it's worth it to travel. I really have not had too much trouble securing visas overall, it's just a hassle that I could do ...
Los Angeles, California, United States cmasicampoIf you've ever seen the recent popular american tv show ''The OC'', this place looks exactly like the beach side in many of the scenes. Many popular surf shops nearby like Billabong and Hurley, a long peir streching out over the water with restaurants and stores on the end, expensive parkinglots close to the shore, tonnes of people tanning surfing and playing in the sand, and large sidewalks on the beach to walk, skateboard, jog, bike and inline skate on.
Huntington Beach, California, United States shanstravels... free comedy stand up, which was beauty, well some was, some was like pullin a band aid off very slowly... ouch but the last guy was super funny, i just wish i could remember his name, so the night was ended with a belly of laughs. whilst in LA there is one place u gotta visit, VENICE BEACH! famous for it's little muscle beach where u have never seen such strange and wonderful people, there were massive body builders, now when i say massive i mean bigger ...
LA, United States halfeatenapple... the beach at about 3 in the morning. (Everyone was leaving early, we had a 5:30 bus). We I arrived at LA everything in my bag was wet it was soaking, it appears that I must have gone for a swim with all my clothes on then proceed to take them off and throw them in my pack...So I'm sitting up really late washing all my clothes at the moment..its great, especially because I am exhausted from my total 2 hours sleep yesterday! Will update the previous entry soon! Mal
Santa Monica, California, United States chrismal... LA the next morning. It took about 5 hours to get back to LA and we went for a drive down Sunset Boulevard and on through Beverly Hills...I've never seen houses like those before! There was not time to go to see the Hollywood Sign by the time we found our hotel again to ask for directions so we drove to Venice Beach and Santa Monica beach for a quick couple of walks along the seafront. It felt just like being on the set of Baywatch minus the skimpy ...
