I love Oceanside California. If I was American, I'd live here!

Oceanside is not a big city but a smaller one with alot of small town charm. Being close to an army base there are many cute barber shops with the red and white twirling things out front. I would love to walk along the beach and pier in the warm breeze all evening. I'd meet many fishermen and their young families fishing off the pier and catching all sorts of fish and crabs. Clearly a lot of people had been at the beach, and many still were as we drove by. We didn't get out, but just enjoyed the drive. Once we got to Dana Point, we headed inland to drive back home. Greetings to you all from LA!!!! I've finally made it to the first leg of the great world tour! Touched down in LA around 1500 local time and the sun was shining. We recieved a warm welcome from the folks at the hostel who were havin an oscars party with free booze - as you know, I'm never one to refuse. Spent the next few days doin the obligitory tourist stuff such as the walk of fame, celebrity houses ...

... the class. I took Japanese for three straight years hoping to go but for some reason or another they never went. Finally I decided to forgo taking Japanese my senior year in favor of another elective class. You can imagine my disappointment when the classes decided to go to Japan late that year. It's okay though, I'm going now and it's without chaperones! It's going to be a great stop on the way to the Philippines.
