... was right at lunchtime . Fairly large dining area inside and al fresco with a nice view of the river. Everyone's casually dressed and very laid back, very at ease atmosphere. Sonya arrives looking great as usual. Smiling, excited, eager and hungry all in one. We get seated and order lemonade, really good stuff, and she tells me what she's ordered in her previous visits. I study the menu and choose something not on the menu! Chicken enchiladas with mołe sauce on top. ...

6th-7th August Not a great deal to talk about after yesterday as it was a driving day, we drove from New Mexico into Texas, and drove down to San Antonio, a fairly uneventful drive. But Travis saved the day and reminded us the gas station was tied to a Burger King and we had indeed ...

... 10/22 we took a visit to Gruene (pronounced Green). Folks in the area told us this is a must see place. Greune was once a cotton producing community along the Guadalupe River, but now it is supported by tourists. Gruene Hall was built in 1878 and is Texas' oldest continually operating and most famous dance hall. The dance hall is 6,000 sq. feet and the floors are still the original wooden floors. Many ...

... homes coming out. There were actually trailers floating about an hour later. I drove out to the main road but couldn't go left back to the I 35, as planned, because the paved road was flooded. I went right and wound my way out of the area, going through a roadblock at one point. We are now closer into town and the sky is blue. Hopefully the storm is over and the rivers and creeks will ...
