... opening games of the World Cup. From afar and from the outside it looked like a big metal box. Compared to the other stadiums it was obvious they rushed the finish of this. On the inside however it looked just as good as the other ones.

... So many upsets, so many goals and so much more to come.

The best thing about this World Cup is being able to watch every game during the day (no waking at 2am in the winter to watch) and being around thousands of fans all yelling at the tv, constant football on everywhere you go... oh I'm in heaven!

So I'm living like a local for a little longer before making my way back to Argentina and heading home! Still have 1 month left, I'm hoping time will move slowly.....

Day20: Visiting the Zoo, always an adventure

On this day we decided to travel to the outskirts of the city to explore a big municipal green area that hosts the Curitiba Zoologico. Getting there was quite an adventure. As we took a bus the length of a small train and blasted out of the city on an express lane.

Then we got off at a terminal that was about 5km from the zoo but we figured that we could save money ...

There is only one word that describes our little visit to Curitiba...CLOSED!

We arrived at some unearthly hour into Curitiba's bus station then walked a few blocks to the hotel we were staying at, and fell straight into bed! We woke up to rain, rain and more rain. Anyway we decided to get ourselves out there to take in the sites of Curitiba and see what it had to offer....

We had not realised ...
