Travel Blogs from Ko Samui
With my last remaining Malaysian Ringett I took a taxi to Penang airport for a flight to Koh Samui, Thailand.
Koh Samui airport is so nice, it's like landing in someones back garden. The grounds are beautiful and customs is like a little wooden shed! It's really surreal. It was a 10 minute journey from the airport to the hotel I had …
From Bangkok there are numerous options when heading South. If you Google 'trains from Bangkok' to your chosen destination, you will easily find the latest train timetables and rates; some of which are combined with ferries and buses, depending on where you are headed.
Most destinations to the South mean a stop in Surat Thani, which if …
I finally bid goos bye to scuba junction and the island of Ko Tao. I boarded the Lomprayah ferry bound for Koh Samui which is the largest Thai island in the Gulf of Thailand. How has this hotel rated in the past?
This hotel offers everything that a backpacker needs: a good bed, a CLEAN room and bathroom, clean towels and free wifi at the reception area. Extra's: TV, swimming pool, private terrace, kind staff. Annoyances: noise from airplanes as they fly over when landing, no airco in cheap rooms, rooms across the street from the hotel reception. Good value for money!
