After all the fun and games in the water we headed back down and this time on the easy track which was definitely ALOT easier and a nice little stroll back to the bottom. We drove into Canmore town to grab some lunch and some tasty fudge. The town was so quaint and your typical mountain town. ... before we have to go. Finally, everything is packed and I go off to the office to pay our bill. Trish, one of the owners, meets me in the office and we engage in small talk about our stay. Jim joins us and we talk for a good long time. We even find out that Trish is a Manitoban by birth, having grown up in Stonewall! That opens an entirely new topic of conversation. Eventually I do settle the bill and re-assure Trish that we will be back ...

... it's an automated awning and no amount of switch flipping would make it retract...the motor was running, but it just wouldn't retract... So, now what! Can't drive like that! The plan was to have Ron and I go up on the roof of the RV and pull the awning up with ropes while Josh rolled the awning from on top of the ladder that Melody was holding and while Bronwyn flew a kite. All very interesting and, I'm sure, entertaining to anyone ...

... all eras, different ship's guns and cannons, and a couple of neat airplanes (one was a Seafire - Dan says that one is rare). They had good descriptions/histories/stories about the different exhibits - very interesting!

Then we went looking for jewelers in Calgary that might carry ammolite for price comparisons. Guess what? The manufacturer reduced the number of distributors and the best places to buy it now are Banff and a town ...
