    Phi Phi Island

A travel blog entry by tomandhannah on Feb 22, 2015

After a boat trip from Railay Beach we got to Ko Phi Phi. Ko Phi Phi is definately an island with 2 personalities! By day it is beautiful and peaceful, by night it is anything but!!! We decided to stay at a lodge at the far end if the beach as far way from the town as we could get. It was a really nice place to stay and the beach was very quiet during the day. At night it ...

Krabi by name, but not by nature

... break you in. What Krabi lacks in it's town in the way of must see's and great sights, it has on it's door step instead. Boats run from here to the many islands off the coast. Some are iconic, probably not by name, but for their appearance in films, such as James Bond and The Beach. Today we decided that we should really sort out what we are doing over the next couple of weeks. Christmas and New Year are peak times, and whilst we had ...

... and we agreed to meet up around 6:30 for dinner. I headed back to my hostel and showered and got in some dry clothes, which felt lovely. Oh to be completely dry! At this point in time, I realized I had a pretty good sunburn on my back. Apparently back burns are ...

... season here. To my great fortune there hasn't been a lick of rain!
I sat there basking in the sun for some time before I became bored stiff. I have a hard time sleeping on the beach and find myself having ADHD most of the time. I can't help but take in the scenery, people watch, or just go exploring. So I went exploring. There are rocks situated all along the coast and I thought maybe I'd have as much luck as those two schmucks finding all that wad ...

... seeking out Nemo and cliff jumping (p.s. Sopy wore a life jacket the WHOLE time) we ended our night watching the sunset on a white beach. On our way home, we jumped into the water one last time for a night swim to see the amazing bio-luminescent glowing plactine! I couldn't have asked for a better time here in Thailand....next stop Cambodia....the heart of our vacation :)

All for now....internet cafe has a limit :(
