... we were back on the plane headed for London. It was sad for Anita's relatives throughout this trip. They hadn't seen her for 10 years (some had never met her) and weren't sure when they'd see her again. One thing i'd learnt along the way was Polish families are close, so to say goodbye to her was a tear jerking moment. What wasn't so tear jerking was the flight back. I was impressed with W!zz...even if they do spell their name with an exclamation mark!
Kamienna Góra, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland andrew.campbellJelenia Góra ('deer mountain') is about couple of hours south from Wroclaw (trains or buses). It is close to the Karkonosze mountain range running along the Polish-Czech border. Only 10-15 km of the town there are few ski resorts such as Karpacz, Szklarska Poreba.
Nice, colorful Market Square, Cyprian Kamil Norwid Theatre, Saint Cross Church, the Old Town are just few places worth of seeing. <br ...
Jelenia Gora, Western Poland, Poland ulka... it was surprising to still see the economic differences between east and west Germany, but they are defiantly catching up.

As we headed east we eventually ran out of Germany and spent our last night in Zittau, it was a surreal town that borders Poland, Germany and Czech, driving round looking for a spot to camp we kept crossing the border by mistake, the borders are no longer controlled in the area. The last time we drove to Poland we waited ages to ...
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic pihollandal the former eastern bloc countries make for good travel,, but the one that i return to is the czech republic,, mainly to the north [north bohemia],liberec, harrochov, cesky raj, but a trip or two to moravia is also worth taking,,. during the communist times it was an eye opener, now also as the people wish for the return of those times, they knew where their bread was coming from, and the upgrades fron old skoda to super fast motorcars,, ah they stilll are crazy on the roads
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic jefa... takze sme vybrali nase jesenne vertovky, ktore s nami precestovali pol sveta za posledny tyzden a mohli sme objavovat mesto pred nami. Liberec ma krasny architekturu z cias ked to bolo druhe najvyznamnejsie mesto v Cechach. Jeho odevnicky a tkacsky priemysel je preslaveny v celom byvalom Ceskoslovensku.
Liberec, Bohemia, Czech Republic mozi... rain delay of the trip. We were camping just outside the town of Podebrady, and it rained all evening, all night, and all morning. It was too gross to contemplate, so we decided to sit it out. Well, most of a novel, a couple beers, and 3 hours of Olympic track and field coverage later (the campground had a restaurant, with TV) it actually did stop raining. By then it was 5 pm so we chalked that day up to Recovery. We DID learn that ...
Szklarska Poreba, Western Poland, Poland bogna... we were rewarded with terrific views on both sides, particularly down into a valley on the Czech side near the mountain resort town of Pec Pod Snezku. By the time we reached the summit it was quite cold and the clouds had gathered so we couldn't see a thing. However, as with many Polish mountains there was a restaurant there which gave us a chance to sit down and have a bite to eat in relatively warm surroundings. Luckily enough, within 10 minutes the clouds had parted, revealing the ...
Karpacz, Western Poland, Poland will... sure how this happened, obviously I haven't been looking after him properly, which is one of his favourite catch phases. So 4 loads of washing, one dryer, charged by the hour, and its 14 degrees so not the best weather for drying. Washing really has become a obsession of mine, it's a war, you have to focus and be ruthless with all your competitors, this is not about making friends people, this is about survival of the fittest). Victory at last for ...
Trutnov, Czech Republic rob.jenn... on to Karpacz ("car-patch"), a popular spa town at the foot of the mountains. The bus ride there was really beautiful, with lots of picturesque little towns set against the mountains. The town was unbelievably touristy, and there seemed to be an unlimited number ways to make a living off of it. Restaurants, tourist stalls, taxis and minibuses, hotels and hostels. Every house we saw had rooms available, and they weren't cheap. We stayed at a big hostel on the edge of town called ...
