Overnight we cruised from Tunis to Palma de Mallorca arriving about midday and after having lunch we took the shuttle bus to get us into the centre of town. We had considered walking as they were charging €25 for a return for two which we thought expensive for a 10 minute bus ride. However it is a captured market and it was a good walk. Maybe a taxi would be no more expensive. Maybe we will try that next time! The shuttle dropped us near the centre of Mallorca and ...
Our next adventure (after school, of course!) was to head out to Cap de Formentor. This is a remote point of the island in the north-east corner. The drive out there was beautiful in itself, with amazing views of the mountains inland, and the cliffs and coast out to sea. After class, I joined James by the pool for lunch and then we jumped in the car for a mini road trip. We headed to Portals Vells, where there was a ...
Today we rediscovered our inner children and headed to Aqualand - the waterpark in Arenal. John, Andrea, Selina and I were joined by Trisha and Will for a really fun afternoon. The park was pretty quiet as most of the tourists had gone home, and I think the longest we queued for any of the rides was 15 minutes - and you could tell by the way the place was set up that usually the queues are a lot longer! Some slides used rubber rings, others we could pair up ...
