        Our first destination on this, our final day of tasting was David & Nadia Sadie. David and Nadia are part of the Swartland Revolution focusing on producing terroir led wines from old vines with little oak, low sulphur and wild ferments. David is the winemaker and has spent time in the Rhône Valley (with Yves Quilleron no less) learning how to get the best out of a maritime climate. Nadia is the viticulturist/soil scientist.         ... treated according to their varietal (for example the Chenin and Viognier with skin contact, Grenache Blanc cold settled, Malolactic is encouraged in the C******nay and Chenin but not in the others) some matured in steel others in concrete. All wild fermented, and some wine allowed to oxidise to give a little texture.

        Lemon yellow. Pear nose with honey and citrus. Medium intense with the nose following through to the palate.

        WWOOF: World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms or the official moochers club. Either way, we had a great time working at Fynbos Wine Estate in the gorgeous Western Cape farm town, Malmesbury (see map). There we hosted conferences (and a wedding), worked on a variety of projects, had a small vacation and enjoyed amazing food.

        ... and son, both Neil were and we talked for about an hour. I left most of things at their house and Isella took me to the Johannesburg airport for my nearly two hour flight to Cape Town. Check in was as easy as the US. I only had carry on and off I flew on Mango airlines to Cape Town.
