We travelled from Santiago along the coast stopping at a lighthouse with fabulous views of the coast. This town is mostly a holiday destination. We tried the pintos of jambon (prosuito) & tomato, the ham in Spain is fabulous. Our tour around Oviedo included a church, San Julien de los Prados, with pre Roman frescos, about 30% are were original & untouched. A bit sad really that they are not protected in some way, as there are tours daily & it is beside a highway, I ...

I finished up packing and since it was my last night and Lexi's birthday, we decided to have a picnic in the park. Kaleigh, Sophie, Leah and I went to el arbol and bought the usual then caught the bus to San Francisco park. Carrying my bags everywhere was a ***** and I felt like an idiot ...

    ... where we are
headed (which would mean a long passage)

The coastline is amazing when you can
see it. It has changed quite significantly since leaving the Picos
behind – rolling green valleys, sheer cliff faces of limestone and
wonderful wooded mountains in the background.

We got to the harbour, which is full of
small craft and fishing boats and the moorings are onto buoys where
you tie on fore and aft. ...
