... and arranged for a tuk tuk to take us on the 1 hour journey to Puri. It turns out the guy who was driving us had some bad wrists or something because he would accelerate and let go, accelerate and let go…this turned our journey into a 2 hour+ ride and was happy once we had arrived in Puri.

... a real effort to maintain the palace's beauty, feel and character is being made. Our rooms were spacious with outstanding features and facilities. We were made to feel welcome by the staff and the Prince and his wife. Food was of an outstanding level as well. It's hard to detail all of the emotion we had for this place: a unique experience. ... one too. The street where my hotel is, is a 6 lane road with a 20 ft impeccable pavement on both sides (never mind that two wheelers are merrily zipping upon it in true Indian style ; at least it is there). I think its time to consider abandoning Bangalore, where the word pavement has not yet entered the dictionary.

Its just a night halt here and I will be on the road again come morning. Orissa is not my target this time.
