We walked the narrow cobblestone lanes, hemmed in by formidable ramparts. Human spirit was confined quite literally. We had intended to go out in the evening for tapas but the weight of travel and history (and our good lunch) depleted our resolve and we faded out early in Girona!

... and boats full of tourists start arriving about 10am and also tour buses fill the town with life! Smaller boats also take trips to the many caves and grotto along the coast. Breakfast in our hotel is served from 8.30 - 12 and the restaurants are open all day until about 11pm. About 9pm is when it regularly gets busy for dinner! ... nice souvenirs, that's how the days roll here, going to book a yacht charter and a flamenco/dinner & show for next few days then we gotta find another place - we're out Monday & got 4 nights to go, maybe back to Barcelona, then we start heading home. Check in tomorrow....... adios ...
Yep this is a great place, champagne included with your breakfast, immaculate Spanish waiters at your beck & call and this amazing view over the Mediterranean. Its hard to move but we'll see what's on the streets, usual markety things, ...
