... and then really putting an effort into doing it right everyday. Sweeping is very mesmerizing. Back and forth, back and forth. And because I really put my concentration into it, I found that for the 20 minutes it took to complete the task, not many random thoughts invaded my head. It was enjoyable and relaxing. ... for her first day of school, which was just supposed to be an orientation day. Instead it turned out to be a teaching day. There I was trying to build a relationship between non-english speaking children with the attention span of a goldfish, and a non-thai speaking, quick to temper teacher. Talk about interesting, if you had been a fly on the wall, you would have laughed so hard you fell off. I must have looked a goose. At least we can only have one first day.
