... the harbour wall and then along the promenade. It was beautiful with good views of the castle and village. Another interesting walker was a lady with a huge long haired black dog, almost the size of a Shetland pony.
Then the bus back to collect the cases, a walk into town, the bus to the airport and here we are waiting to board our plane back to everyday life again, but with ideas of where we think we are going next.

... feathers. Apparently this is to eat single cell plants and molluscs. There were a flock of Red breasted Geese on the lawn, very brightly coloured and tame.
Near the Manor House there was an exhibition about Gerald Durrell and the setting up of the Trust.
To finish off we had out tenner feast meal at Casa Mia, muscles and lobster linguini - very nice with the red wine.

... There were tables and benches on the beach where they brought our food, an amazing green Thai fish curry, crab spring rolls and spicy chicken noodle dish. All lovely with a setting sun to top it off. To end the day we walked along the promenade to a hotel where we had a glass of red wine outside looking at the full moon.on the water. A good start to our stay in Jersey.

... British family run hotel, with big English breakfasts served in the morning. We learnt a lot about the history of the islands, being strategically placed they have always been strongly fortified, a visit to Castle Cornet at the harbour entrance proved that, built originally 800 years ago in the 12th century, the fort has been used by one army after the other, culminating in the Germans using it during the Second World War when they occupied the Channel ...

... we're back on the ship for the afternoon and evening. I'm enjoying a little Pimm's on my balcony watching all the "goin's on" and getting ready to partake of the afternoon and evening festivities. What will it be today?? First bingo game is this afternoon, but it's early yet. The jackpot builds with every day it's not won. Best to leave that for a few days before jumping into the frey. Slot tourney around 5...that's a must! A production show tonight, ...
