... also to make water as the lagoon was far to polluted and would have clogged our primary filters on the water maker, not to mention the possibility of nasties that might be in the water and can't be filtered.

... at the "drive-in volcano" where you can watch the earth bubble and steam with the hot muddy sulfur substance reminding you of the natural destruction of years past that result in these fantastic lands. ... Diet day today - no alcohol and just fruit and salads! Did 3 laps before breakfast and sat outside reading for a while. Carol was doing her domestic chores this morning! Played Whist again - one ****** man was nasty because I played a wrong card - beat him 11-2 on the next game - sweet revenge.

Managed our diet day very well really but look forward to tomorrow!

Rob and I actually discovered a couple of days later that 4 catamarans had broken their masts in this stretch of water on that particular Thursday morning, so we weren't the only ones who found it difficult! Although, thankfully, we didn't suffer any damage! Even one of the large super yachts admitted to having problems and the skipper told us that his bow went under the waves there on several occasions!
