Day 3, 4
Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.

... and very promising until we got out of the car and explored. The village is obviously quite new, and rents must be high, as the prices were high too! How disappointing. We returned to the car with time on our hands and made a decision to visit Tossa De Mar.
Chris & Milly had stayed at Tossa on a previous visit to Spain and raved about it, so we set ...
When we returned to L'Escala after a day in Barcelona, we went in search of a restaurant for dinner (it was only 10.30 after all and diners were just arriving). Although L’Escala has a lot of shops, many only open during the high season – however there seemed to be quite a few restaurants so we headed to one on the waterfront where we had pizzas (Milly’s was an interesting seafood combination including mussels still in their shells ...
L'Escala, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kevino101... Chris had arranged accommodation for us at Salt, near Girona airport and somewhat closer to Barcelona, where the plan was to spend the following day. We went into the office and met the Manager, and attempted to explain the situation – he had very little English, (and we had yet to learn any Spanish beyond Hola) and promptly gave us the key for our unit and escorted us to it. The unit was small and quite dark until the shutters were opened, when we were ...
L'Escala, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands kevino101Hi everybody! My name is Anna and I was born and I live in Sant Pere Pescador.
Since 2 years, my husband and I, are running one Bed and Breakfast called Mas del Joncar.
We love to travel and when we go abroad we like to discover the culture and costums from every place we visit.
Our area has a lot of interesting places to be ...
... happen for the next hour and a half - I swear we should have just told her to speak spanish slowly and we would haveunderstood better but apparently Cat understood her english just fine...
The ladies tells us that there are baths that we can soak and when the baths are over - ding dong ?!?!?! I think to mylsef as she is saying that " What the ****??!!!???" and off course I hear Cat answer " Si si esta bien"...

cerca!
desp escribo desde la muralla!
... I think it helps me to understand my Billy when I see the creative spaces of other artists. The villages around Avignon and Carpentras were charming. Sherry´s life and new friends were inspiring and I´m so happy for her! The fact that it rained five out of the seven days I was there didn´t make a bit of difference. It was French rain, for heaven´s sake, so who cares.
Last Monday, September 21, I ...
... There was a beautiful little cafe which had a great cafe con leche + croissant combo!
The next stop (after another bus nap-had a lot of those this weekend) was Figueres, where we visited the Dali Museum! I had no idea what to expect, which is good because if there's one thing I've learned from traveling it's that any expectations you have will be proven wrong. The museum was a mindtrip. But what's cool is that he was alive when it was built, so ...
... highlight being an enormous cathedral that was recently restored. It was an incredible place to visit as it has not been as commercialized by tourism as some of the areas of Barcelona. This is not to take anything away from Barcelona, which was incredible, but the old town in Girona is definately worth a visit. After touring around the town, we headed back to Oriols place for a magnificent lunch prepared by his wife.
