... and enjoyed more pizza for dinner, haven't had any for many days so need to keep trying new ones! Parma surprised us with how lovely the Piazza is and the huge park adjoining. It was a gorgeous evening and there were lots of people out enjoying the cool evening, it's one of the best parts of the day.

Parma tour & Pizzeria dinner

Following the game, a tour of Parma showed us another beautiful northern Italy city with an Old Town City Centre. Dinner was arranged by David our driver at a traditional pizzeria – David has been driving for 20 years and has all the connections we need, especially in Italy. Parma is Davida's hometown and he is very proud to show it off.

... only did he make it to third base - and with Coach Vo as the third base coach you can be sure there was a large body protecting Sam with every pitch so no line drive might make contact - but Sam boldly stole home with an impressive slide into home plate. The crowd of course roared!

Following the 12-0 win, both teams posed for a photo and the Italians and Warhawks exchanged hats.

... eat this much going on 10 p.m. Well, just to settle your stomach, let's have ice cream for dessert! Yikes, this was a meal and more.

In the morning, following breakfast we boarded the bus and dropped the team off in town for a morning practice. The rest of us were dropped at the city centre for shopping and sightseeing. Another beautiful city with several squares and farmer's markets. Reggio is known for attractive squares, grand buildings, and beautiful parks. ...

... for now I'll say simply that I am well, I'm making good progess and tonight I am sleeping with four other pilgrims - including a very special one - in parish accommodation in Medesano, not far out of the city of Fidenza.
