... Petromoli before climbing over the Cisa pass which was fantastic. From the top of the pass it was just a few km descent down to Berceto.
The coastal road was quite busy but the pass was deserted.
Before Petromoli we passed though a extensive area of quarries with huge slabs and blocks of marble ready for use as a raw material.

... and apologised for getting him up late last night.....you'll note that staying up late is a bit of theme with us. Breakfast at the hotel and a visit to the battistero and the cathedral. Found a deli and bought up big - parma ham, parma cheese, balsamic, Lambrusco and olive oil. ... at 1700 and checked into our 15th century very authentic Italian villa. Dinner was at ristorante angiol d'or right near the villa. We all ate traditional beef fillet steak rolled with Parma ham and Parmesan cheese! Late night for Sienna - we will get back into a routine soon. Still trying to figure out if I'm in the home of Parma cheese as well as Parma ham... Need to do some more ...
