... So we head there, had lunch, use the wifi and book a hotel in Bloomington, just outside of Indianapolis for the night.

We kick it straight through Kentucky and get into Bloomington, only stopping for fuel along the way, and get in around 8pm. We check into our little hotel, and head straight back out to the grocery store to get an easy dinner. We weren’t particular hungry, so I literally ate ...

The Airline From Losing Your Luggage. Devotees of Rick Steves, whose illegitimate son Steve works in our office we swear to heavens, JR and I are attempting the 'one carry on and one backpack' approach to traveling this time. No checked bags for us; TJ made this same trip last summer and spent the first two of his three weeks with ...

        Pre-Hike Setup

Mitch and I left for Crooked Creek Parking parking lot, Yellowwood State Forest, after work to drop my car off at the end of the trail, well 2 miles shy of the end. We got to Morgan-Monroe State Forest around 8:00 PM and setup camp at the campground. We were the only campers that night and was fortunately the only night we had rain.

... but not within 4 miles of the car.

There were no detours today but today was probably the worst hiking day due to all the roads and my knee and foot hurting. The end of the trail, 2 miles out from the car and 2 miles back, was well worth the trip. The end may even be a good starting point to camp at and start off from on our next pass thru. I believe we ...

We, Mitch didn't move from his sleeping bag until 7:30 AM, got up at 7:00 AM today but got a late start at around 8:45 AM. The weather was still a bit cold at 40
degrees. Mitch and I made breakfast and hit the trail with the sun and 15.86 miles to walk today.

We stopped about 4 miles in to sync up with Ryan. We had quite a bit of road/gravel road ...
