    ... read all the magazines I brought, and while away my time in ways other than behind the wheel. It all started with the south gate being closed! It's all my fault for not finding out beforehand whether it was open or not, and the thought actually did cross my mind based on some info about routes from the kind lady at the campground.     ... a Whole Foods. The have Whole Foods but this is pretty much the same. I got a huge vegetarian sandwich.

    After that adventure, we came home and I decided to go shopping. I went to Walmart (mistake) and Target. I had to get some glass cleaner, Clorox, a shower caddy, and definitely--a heating pad! I again felt awkward because I was bringing in like 5 bags from shopping. I downloaded some more pictures and began this journal. Hope you all enjoy!

    ... a can of WD40 from his backpack and carefully oiled the drive chain while slowly pushing the bike forward to reach every inch. This was an old, Schwiin-styled bicycle with a small single cylinder motor that couldn't have been more than 50ccs, maybe smaller.     ... some relief from the bikes and something to have a look at - it was initially set up as way station for travellers; where the pony express riders went east to west and the pony riders, went north to south. There was a Mormon missionary couple there at the time , with multiple kids who tendered to the travellers; shod the horses; grew gardens and feed people along the way - makes you wonder when they had time to have the 9 kids as well. ...

    ... to Salt Lake City we stop at Cove Fort, this was an unscheduled stop at a place Ron knew, he was just going to get brochures for the next trip, but we spent 20 minutes looking around the old Mormon fort, beautifully kept with very friendly folk in charge, pity we haven't got longer.
