        SLC visit with our niece

We stayed at a nice Marriott in Salt Lake City. My GF app took us to Costa Vida for some really good Mexican food, for dinner. It was a nice walk. Our niece, Lisa, was working, but was able to drive up to see us for breakfast. We took a short walk to see the Mormon temple grounds after breakfast, since it was right next door. Our visit was short but sweet. So glad it worked out!

Still, I'm not sure the Monte can handle the stress test.

Like on the Lakeshore Limited, both Iain and I slept but just not as solidly as we'd have liked, so the toddler was the sprightliest of us all throughout the day. We'd made progress (thank goodness) but we were definitely behind schedule by about two hours meaning that there was still a while to go before we were to reach the beauteous Rocky Mountains stretch (and ...

... bought a nice large beer. Man, did it taste good after a hot day. I sat at my picnic table and really enjoyed that nice cold beer. This place has Wi-Fi as well so I took the opportunity to check email and Facebook. I headed to bed a little early since the hot sun really whipped me today.

Another good day of riding with 412.9 miles covered!

Following is some detail on the pictures I took:

Once we were on the plane, it felt so good to finally be on our final leg home. We had a great time in Mazatlan, but we're undecided if we'll be able to go next year....I guess we'll ...
