    The place was called Pirate O's and it was a gourmet grocery store with a lot of international candy and snacks. I saw candy that I had in Germany, Italy, England and France!! I restrained myself and only got a couple of things because I have been consuming way too much sugar since I got here.

    We have lots to do over the next two weeks. We have housesitters arranged who will take care of our home, give lots of loves to our dog and cat, and, possibly, remember to water the plants. Check in periodically to see where our adventure is taking us! We would love comments!

    ... bought a nice large beer. Man, did it taste good after a hot day. I sat at my picnic table and really enjoyed that nice cold beer. This place has Wi-Fi as well so I took the opportunity to check email and Facebook. I headed to bed a little early since the hot sun really whipped me today.

    Another good day of riding with 412.9 miles covered!

    ... s book - I read some of the reviews from when it came out. Some religious scholars didn't like it. Some felt he cherry-picked evidence to support his theory that Jesus of Nazareth was a political type zealot. The NY Times review by a Yale professor of Religious Studies was pretty balanced and thought it was a serious attempt to theorize about the historical Jesus. Aslan acknowledges that one can only theorize.

    ... Asian food is sooooo much healthier than the **** we eat in the USA. No wonder we saw only a few overweight Asians. They eat healthy. Veggies. Fruit. Small portions of protein. Rice.
