    ... Along this trail we were able to find a pictograph of three figures painted on the canyon wall some 800 to 1000 years ago. Finally found out the difference between a pictograph and a petroglyph. A pictograph is painted on a wall while a petroglyph is carved or chiseled into a stone wall. After the hike

    ... the far end of SLC. Alix pointed out a lot of different places and we resumed out back and forth line of questioning. It took us about 15 minutes to get up past downtown and the capitol to the very expensive subdivision where the trailhead was.

    We got out and Persephone took off running. She never needs a leash apparently! We climbed the face of it. The Face. Not a good idea with plain shoes. Sometimes I was scrambling at a 90 degree angle. ...

    ... was our waitress very nice, Jane and I though were not happy when at 5:30pm she told us no baked potatoes when we both were looking so forward to one. They fixed us both a baked potato in the microwave (ugh) but it did taste good.

    I got to talk to my brother Monty and will see him and family in Colorado Springs in a few weeks. So much for Day 29 almost a month has gone by and I have traveled over 900 miles. Good night all......hope you all had a nice weekend.
