    ... along the promenade to find ice cream, unfortunately, Lorna managed to kick a lump of concrete in her flip flops and the concrete won!! A nasty lump out of the end of her pinky which has meant a bit of limping and lots of germolene and salt baths to try and sort it out!!     ... for the van somewhere else and also it was a nice secure underground car park that was 2.1m high which we need so all was good. After parking up we managed to find our way to a tram stop and bought an all day travel card which was only €7 each, we were a bit confused for a while as to whether we were buying the right one but it allowed us to get on all the trains, buses and trams we wanted to during the day so was spot on.     ... but this white was simply beyond compare. It was as good as he remembered, and the three of us were in love at first sip. The other wines we sampled -- all red -- were good, but the white was the clear stand-out. He explained that the white comes from a very small number of "ancient vines," on the oldest portion of his families vineyards, which are scattered throughout the valley. As such, he was only able to produce 497 bottles of this wine. For comparison ...

    ... The drive there was memorable enough, but the tiny village was spectacular, all ensconced within ancient walls and necessitating a hike down and up to even reach the outer gate. It made for some good picture taking.
