Day 3, 4

Day 3 I wasn't traveling at all, I was busy working, However on the forth day I managed to go to a town not far from Barcelona called Lloret de Mar. It is a new town located just near the seashore, with wonderful forests at the same time. There are a lot of hotels there for every type of traveler.

After lunch we set off up to the castle, inside its walls are numerous little houses which are still inhabited, although the satellite dishes were rather incongruous! After all this exercise it was time for a cocktail followed by a spot of shopping before eventually heading back to L’Escala.

... Alison bought a small leather change purse for €2 to replace her stolen wallet. Then it was back to enjoy the pool at the timeshare. We spent a very relaxing day enjoying each others company, sunbathing in the heat of the day, before heading back to Girona airport with Chris & Milly at night, so that they could catch their flight back to London. Our farewells weren’t too teary, as we knew we would see them again in two weeks, in Auckland.

The timeshare (Port de Rei) is situated a short distance out of the town of L'Escala. We drove through town following Dora’s directions, but were not too sure where we were headed, eventually ending up outside a large building built on a rugged coast overlooking the Mediterranean. ... and also you can do a lot of activities. So we thought that we could speak about our surroundings that we know very well and perhaps that can help the people who wants to visit our region.

This weekend IES Barcelona went on a huge "study journey" (it's college speak for field trip) to Costa Brava. The map you're seeing only lets me put one location, which is whack because in the course of three days I've been to six different towns. But most of them show up on that map.

I take a bus to Tossa de Mar, a small beach resort on the way to France. It is along the Costa Brava where the hills meet the coast making for some dramatic landscape. My thought was to use a luggage check, explore the town. I have a reservation for a hostel in Girona for the evening so I have to catch the 5:00 bus.
