... after having been out in the sticks and we went for a drink and shisha pipe in a rooftop cocktail bar and even managed to find a Lebanese restaurant. We spent a few days chilling out at the hostel and shopping at the big local bazaar for food and then got ready to head back to Kazakhstan where our trip round the stans was coming to an end.

... with tank tops, and cleavage, which are on display on the city streets here. The population is a lot more diverse here as well. I think I saw just as many Russian people as Kyrgyz, with a smattering of other ethnicities too.

To my delight, the Kyrgyz people enjoy black tea just as much as the British. In every café, when ordering food, you are always asked if you want chai with that. To which I always reply "yes". There is also a big expat community ...

... had only been filled the previous day so 5 minutes was more than enough and then back to lounging by the pool.

An Aussie couple in our group were celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary so most of us headed out with them for dinner in a massive German beerhouse themed restaurant. These were very popular in Bishkek for some reason and did serve great lumps of meat and trays of sausages which went down well along with home brewed beer.

... and convenient - out we go! We learnt the hard way after wasting time filling out the form online, that not all internet places have printing facilities! To cut a long story short we arrived back with all documentation in hand ten minutes before the embassy shut. We pressed the buzzer, no answer! Pressed again - still no click of the gate.
