... The one that says 'London, Paris, Milan New York'.

We found a lovely local lady who showed us the Metro station and the way we needed to head. WE decided to walk for a bit, found the Hilton Hotel and grabbed a concierge and a map, and then walked much more confidently towards the Lima train station. Along the way, we found a bakery and purchased cannolis and bread.

It was getting hotter and hotter and the streets in this part of town were ...

    WEDNESDAY 10 JUNE

Ahh the feeling of waking up with no alarm, nothing planned and nowhere to be.

We are still in the lovely Lake Como region, the day has started a little overcast, but its warm and we are in a hotel overlooking a lake. Its so freakin wonderful I have no words to describe this.

We went down to breakfast at the very civilised time of 8am, there was cereal, yoghurt, cold meats, eggs, pastries and breads and fruits. Lots to choose from. A jug ...

We wandered around the shops and I took them to "Panzerotti Luini" which was as amazing as the first time and slightly less busy! Then we went for Nathan ...

... different era. We then headed back to the Piazza Duomo and took a walk through the Galleria, wow, talk about splendour. The Shopping malls in Dubai are massive and ostentatious, gregariously so but the Galleria is classic quiet opulence. Prada and Versace being the biggest store holders in the centre. It is truly a beautiful place to just stand and watch and look.

Day 2 we decided to do the outlet shopping tour to Serraville, about an ...

... a few more must haves. By now I am totally stuffed and go looking for a taxi to get us back to the hotel for a quiet rest, a cold refreshment and an early dinner. Of course Julie has other ideas and we go for a walk back down to the canal district as it is a beautiful night and the area looks totally different in the dry - even interesting fruit and vegetable stalls. But we finish up eating at a restaurant 50 metres from our hotel and enjoy our last night in ...
