... of the Greek party islands, except that is was overrun with chavy Eastern Europeans and Scandanavians instead of Brits. There was also a lot of rubbish just kind of dumped in stinking piles wherever there wasn't a building and I agree it smelt, you'd get wafts as you walked the streets. But and it's a big but, once you got out of the centre the main beach of Ao Dalam was beautiful, a long curve of white sand with crystal clear water, and thanks to just beating the onslaught ...

... of the jungle on these impressive hanging vines. We then sped up to the top of one of the mountain tops for stunning views of the turquoise water and white sandy beaches below. Then with our natural air conditioning we drove along the coastline in search of a local place for lunch. Pad thai filling our bellies it was back on the bikes for more scenic stops. Happy hour was calling our name so I jutted off the main drag and happened to see a sign for chill out bar. ...

... heavy tropical storms which made us come up with plan B to return to the East Island of Koh Samui where the storms have not yet visited and we can re visit our favoured spots. We hired a scooter here too so that we could venture to the Lanta Animal Welfare Centre and see what else the island had to offer. Needless to say we have gone over 8 months without this happening so it was bound to happen... our scooter broke down and had a flat tyre on its 2nd ...
