... windows and took 1.5hrs. Worst $6 ever. The bright side was that due to our bus to the airport in the morning this was only the 2nd worst bus ride of my life....things are looking up! Yay for busses!

Our hotel in Krabi was beautiful, had a great view and a great pool. All this for only $30 a night...gotta love traveling in low season, everything is cheap! We went down and had some great Thai food on the beach for lunch and then explored the town before watching ...

... taken to a beach accessible only by boat and were told there were some really cool caves. Being underwhelmed by the caves we were surprised at the overwhelming number of offerings to the cave god of fertility. Our surprise at the cave was matched by others. Back on the boat a Dutch guy who we had been chatting to said in a loud voice, "What were all those penis' for?". A solo traveler he had been to many of same places we have. "Chinese people are so rude!", he stated ...

I was just giving the parents the lay of the land and was telling them how we were going to have to go around the peninsula to get to the other side of rai lay but that we were almost there when the long tail began to head into the bay of rai lay east.
