      ... back, and how it is almost set up like a shrine. Lots of bright shiny colors up front and rows of very uncomfortable benches as pews. Then there is the side seating in little alcoves. Ill have to look a bit closer next time, as I arrived JUST in time for the service to start. I was a bit enthralled by my last minute spanish studies this morning and lost track of time.

      ... in Spanish and then smiled. I had no idea what she was talking about but then slowed down and tried to explain that she noticed that I am doing the steps correctly, but I just need to put more umph into the steps and make them Flamenco steps. Everyone in the class gave me a smile and extended pat on the back. I was on cloud 9. Now, if only I can keep the steps when the quick tempo comes.

      There continue to be days where I wonder what possessed me to accept this placement in Ibiza of assisting with the teaching of English to high schoolers. This placement on an island that nearly completely shuts down after September. On this island where I am daily among those who speak not only Spanish (Castellano), but also Catalán, those who speak little English and various other languages of the world.       ... to formally learn a second, terms like present perfect, preterite, and present progressive have little meaning to you. And then you have to know how to apply them. I could conjugate all day long, but ask me how to use those stupid forms and I couldnt tell you.
