Bag safely installed in the car, we then drove around the island to a quiet beach where we boarded a 'pirogue' to take us to a reserve where we'd see lemurs. There was also a small 'park' in the plantation - we saw a few wild lemurs, as well as quite a few caged lemurs, which are not indigenous to Nosy Be island. A proper Mercedes Sprinter and a responsible driver drove us in about 8 hours to the place were we wanted to get off. The Ankarafansika National Park. We did a nice walk over there, met a new group of Lemur. These look if they have a wintercoat on! Visit an impressive canyon and a crocodile lake.

Our 84th day we were on the island of Nosy Be, Madagascar, going to the city of Andoany previously called Hellville after Admiral de Hell the governor of the area in colonial times. We arrived by tender to a very unstable narrow dock and quickly boarded a bus without air conditioning. This is the most popular place in Madagascar, but there is not much here to see, just a few beach hotels that cater to people from France and Italy. The island is very poor ...
