Eftersom vårt tidigare hotell i Manaus lämnade mycket i övrigt att önska, var förväntningarna inte alltför höga. Men vi blev även överraskade den här gången. Fast åt andra hållet. Det var en gigantisk tvårumslägenhet på 11:e våningen, med alla bekvämligheter man kunde önska sig.

... fell we were confined to the lodge in order to escape the mosquitoes and played dominos until dinner. After dinner we went spear fishing with Deden which was a bit of a waste of time as the water was unusually dirty making spotting the fish particularly hard. We retired to our hammocks that were set up complete with mozzie nets under the shelter of a bamboo roof.
